Behind the blocks

A survival world worth caring about.

PlagueMC is a persistent hard-mode survival server built around a simple idea: give players a dependable world, useful tools, and enough freedom to make the interesting part themselves.

What we are

Minecraft first. Thoughtful extras second.

We like the tension and satisfaction of survival: the risky first night, the relief of a safe base, the shop that slowly becomes a business, and the build that turns into a landmark. PlagueMC keeps that foundation intact.

Our enhancements remove needless friction, create new goals, and help a shared world thrive—not bury Minecraft beneath menus and noise. Java and Bedrock players inhabit the same world, with practical features supporting both.

🌍

The world has memory

Player builds, settlements, routes, and stories are the point. We treat continuity as a feature, because effort matters more when it has somewhere to live.

🧰

Features earn their place

Quality-of-life tools should make play smoother or deeper. If something only adds clutter, confusion, or an unfair shortcut, it probably does not belong here.

⚖️

Fair beats flashy

Rules are understandable, moderation is practical, and advantages should come from time, knowledge, cooperation, or a particularly ill-advised expedition—not a wallet.

🤝

Players shape the place

Feedback, shared projects, trade, rivalries, and everyday encounters give the server its character. We operate the world; the community makes it worth visiting.

How we run it

Friendly does not mean improvised.

There are real systems behind the scenery. We maintain the platform, document how things work, watch performance, protect player work, and make changes carefully.

  • Clear expectationsRules and guidance live in one maintained knowledge base.
  • Measured changesNew features should solve a real problem or create worthwhile play.
  • Practical supportWhen something goes wrong, players should know where to look and what to provide.
  • Healthy challengeHard-mode survival can be dangerous without being hostile to newcomers.
✦

The slightly less official version

Build a town. Corner a market. Get humbled by a skeleton.

We know what we are doing. The mobs remain unconvinced. That tension has worked rather well for us so far.
